Biking up and down hills, oh my!

Yesterday I threw my bike in the back of the truck and headed out the 2 miles or so to the volcanoes. I would have biked there, but there’s a stretch of road with no shoulder and someone’s “ghost bike” is there already and…well, I don’t want to die.

I rode the whole trail-8 miles of it. No. I whizzed down the 4+ miles, almost never pedaling, saying “Whee!!” the whole way. I got the the bottom and I was all, “Oh crap! Now I have to bike back UP the hill!” It was rough going, I’m not gonna lie. I had to walk a few times. OK, I had to walk like 10 times. But I survived. I want to ride the whole trial without having to stop and walk. I think that’s a great goal to take on by the end of summer.

I’ve had a super busy few days so I’ll check back in tomorrow and tell you my NEW PLAN for running. Yes, I have a new plan. Shut up. You knew I would.
