Walking…a lot

It’s in the 80’s all week long in Albuquerque. The sun is shining but the wind is blowing soft and cool so it’s not overly hot on my walks. Yesterday I walked 10 miles, today 6. I can’t help myself, I just want to be outside enjoying it all. The wildflowers are blooming, the cactus all have little purple buds where their new growth is poised, just waiting to spring into action, lizards are scurrying away as I walk down the dirt road and occasionally I see a squiggly line in the sand where a snake has passed by. Here’s hoping for a few more days home before we go back to California for a month of work.

Lastly, here’s an article I wrote on where to find healthy restaurants in Albuquerque.

My heart aches seeing this. I want to go home so badly some days. Our trip is cancelled pretty much unless the airlines can be a little kinder in their pricing. I know you really appreciate New Mexico because you miss it too when you are away. Hug the Sky and kiss the desert flowers for me.
